About Pakistan Embassy International School & College, Tehran
On October 17, 1964, the late Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, who was the foreign minister at the time, opened the Pakistan School in Tehran. It was originally established to meet the educational needs of the embassy workers and the Pakistani community, allowing their kids to meet the qualifications needed to be admitted to Pakistani schools upon their return (Tehran Times, October 18, 1964).
The school changed its name to Pakistan Embassy International School and College (PEISCT) as a result. It is now the only institution connected to both the University of Cambridge International Examination in the UK and the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE), Islamabad. As a result, PEISCT is the only school in Tehran that provides curriculum for grades XII, FBISE (Islamabad), and A-levels (Cambridge, UK).
